The project was co-financed by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees of Germany (BAMF) and the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The great success of the program (more than 9,000 beneficiary children, refugees and non-refugees, in many parts of the country), resulted in the launch of the action "Together in Sport – Phase II", from 15.09.2023, implemented in cooperation with municipalities in various regions of Greece. The action "Together in Sport-Phase II" is an educational sports and culture program, with the main objective of promoting the physical and mental well-being of minors aged 7-17 and young adults aged 18-21 (refugees and non-refugees), as well as strengthening social cohesion, through the creation of a range of sports and cultural activities, in cooperation with the bodies of each city. In addition, the action will focus on the inclusion of minors and young people with physical or intellectual disabilities. The program is based on the view that sports, as well as cultural activities, can create a favorable framework for improving the daily lives of minor and young adult refugees. It should be noted that participation in the program's activities is free of charge. More specifically, the objectives of the project include: The participation of minors and young adults in a sports program designed under the auspices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
