CITY OF ATHENS NIGHT SHELTER

The operation of the Night Shelter concerns that part of the population that cannot meet the basic need for housing. More specifically, "Night Shelters" are immediate accommodation facilities that operate only during the night and cover urgent housing needs for those living on the street. They provide overnight stay services, personal care and hygiene, psychosocial support, and connection with housing, food provision, psychological support, legal aid, counseling, health, welfare, and social reintegration services.
